Medicare Supplement

Medicare Supplement Insurance, also known as Medigap, is private insurance designed to help pay some of the out-of-pocket costs that Original Medicare does not cover.

Medigap plans work alongside Original Medicare and can help pay for:

Deductibles

Coinsurance

Copayments

Certain excess charges

Other healthcare expenses depending on the plan selected

These plans help provide greater financial protection and predictability for Medicare beneficiaries.

How Does a Medicare Supplement Plan Work?

With a Medicare Supplement Plan:

1. Original Medicare pays its share of approved medical expenses.

2. The Medicare Supplement Plan pays its share according to the plan benefits.

3.You are responsible for any remaining costs not covered by Medicare or the supplement plan.

You must be enrolled in both:

- Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance)

- Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance)
